bottom line .. this was sammy's call ... and I like it the way it is now ... if he decides to change it ... then I will support him and delete spam bots everyday until my fingers go numb.

and if he doesn't then I will only delete spam bots from our affiliate sub clans when I do my rounds in the morning

Do you guys not ban IPs and delete accounts? Because if you do that, then there's no way they can get back online anyhow. I'm just curious what keeping login time as an extended period of time would do to stop them. I mean, scenario:

Bot is activated and validates.
It spams as soon as it validates
Lovely Venom comes online, witnesses the horror, and deletes the bot's account, bans the IP.
The bot was only given a few moments of time to spam and now it's time is up.
The account is gone, IP banned, and the spam botter guy will have to create a new account or whatever.

They don't have the time to stay logged in forever because they're caught pretty much right as soon as their accounts are created.

No, you just have it as your home page. I have other things as my homepage. Or I can be 1337 with my mac and have as many as 30+ homepages. Now that's 1337.
