-[.40 Cal ]- Games

Hey sammy, we've been having alot of complaints regarding lag issues in the wc3 server. I noticed that there is little to no lag in the DM / GG servers, so I was wondering if the wc3 server was running under a different server? The lag has been terrible for the past few days, and many people have been complaining. How much would it cost to upgrade to a better server? I don't believe the server needs a restart, just in general it's always been lagging even after a reboot.

it is not the server or host. it is the mod itself. ownx has the gold saved in romania. it was way worse lag when xp was saved there too. sylwester created a new database on my dedibox server and helped performance. if ownx can create an sqLite for the gold would be awesome. other than that I need to contact sylwester.

ownx did send me the wc3mod without gold

Let's see if OWNX can create an sqLite for the gold. (whatever that means.. LOL) I think everyone enjoys having gold on the server so lets see if we can fix this issue without removing gold all together. Thanks again for your help sammy We appreciate it!

Why not go back to the other WC3 module with like 53 Levels or whatever it was we use to have?

I like the original wc3 too. It ran really smooth without any hiccups nor gold banking. Plus it was a classic! ownx has done a fantastic job with the new mod though; I prefer the original but don't want to hurt his feelings for all the time and effort he put in for us.

No, we should still keep the new mod with all the races. Let's wait and see if OWNX can get back on us with helping us with the gold situation, otherwise we should just remove gold all together. The lag is getting unbearable

I would prefer the old one because of how there was no lag at all like scorp said. But if ownx can find a way to make it so it doesn't lag like it does, that would be equally awesome.
