Firing issues

Post by kal_el.ca » Thu Oct 22, 2020 11:03 pm

So there's only one server where I encounter this problem, but it's still a pain. One of the servers I play in, when I try to fire (or spray) it only fires in bursts. Every gun, it's basically like I have burst fire turned on. Can't figure out why. Only happens on one server, that I've found anyways. Asked a few people from the server, they didn't know. Tried looking it up on google, it's very difficult to find anything that even touches the issue I'm dealing with.

Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions for me?

I used to have issues like that in my non-steam days, but it was fixable upon restarting the game.
Could you PM me the ip, so i could check if its server related

Found some friends over there, but no sign of the issue.
So i guess you could try reinstalling the game

Check your own network settings under advanced or device drivers.

Turn adaptive interrupt mitigation off.
Make your buffers small as they can go, only make them larger if you run into consistent issues of timeouts, lost/dropped packets. Large buffers tend to full and get emptied/processed in batches, smaller is lower latency.
Jumbo packets off, only works if all network segments support it (they don't).
QOS off, again, only works if all segments support it, and they probably don't.
Energy efficient ethernet off.
Power saving for the network adapter off.
Flow control rx and tx on.
ARP offload on.
Nameserver offload on.
Speed and duplex auto (if you have to force this to something else, your network has issues.)

Absolutely no idea what most of that is rip, but I did manage to find most of it anyways. No idea about the buffers but everything that should be on is on, and should be off is off. Still no change. I don't imagine it's a network thing unless there's something specific about that server that causes the network issues.

I'll just learn to live with it, not play as much or hound the crap out of the people I know in that server
