HELP!

Has anyone ever encountered this before? All I can find with google searches are unanswered threads.

All of a sudden, I can't connect to any cs servers. It freezes up on "establishing network connection to server", then fails, and I get the message "fake client was in idle state for 8 seconds." My internet connection is fine, and I haven't changed any settings. It just happened out of the blue.

I tried restarting steam, restarting my computer, and I even deleted client registry .blob and some registry values then restarted steam. Nothing is working. The servers are all pinging fine in my server list, but once I launch the game, I can't connect.

Try To Uninstall ur cs 1.6 i do that and work with me <3 good luck

I fixed it myself lol. If this happens to anyone else, try this:

In your steam library, right-click cs and then hit properties. Then select validate resources. It found 1 resource that failed and reacquired it. Problem solved!

setinfo _ip "put server ip here"
connect PUT PROXY HERE



Click Enter and try again.

Again I was looking for a harder solution when there was an easy path
