does anyone know how I can reduce my lag in cs? any commands PLEASE HELP

Usually if I'm having latency problems I open my task manager and end every task I don't need to run. Including last explorer.exe. At any time when you need your desktop back you, ctrl+alt+del and click new task, and then just type out explorer.exe and poof it's back. Also you can google cs 1.6 rates to get tips on optimizing your console. Hope this helps.
