Why is this a no-no place? I can't see people through walls. That's the whole point, to exploit the map.

If you uncrouched and looked over top, you should be able to see over the wall on that spot I believe.

So yesterday when the map changed to fy_snow_night. I had asked Capt Kirk about the wall that goes around the mall map. Is it considered ledging or not? I have heard both sides of it.. Yes it is, No it isn't. So when was in, I figured the 4star admin would give me the answer I was looking for. I went into spec mode and watched Kirk as he changed to undead and "jumped" onto the outer wall. After two rounds of running on the wall, I asked him what he thinks. He told me that it is ledging because you can see through walls. I know, I've seen it.. The tops of the 4 center columns go out and you can see directly through to the other spawn. I thought he would have posted something here yesterday about but, guess I beat him to it. I'm sure that Capt Kirk will say something about it now so that people will see that a 4star said that it is ledging and not just myself blowing steam..

I will post pics of this soon. You can see over some part at every angle and it is considered ledging.

That Ledge thing is dumb lol. I use it sometimes, but I don't go to the corner and over look the map. I will warn and eventually kick on this. It's the same thing as having wall hacks, and mixed with human/cloak, its even worse lol. Spock you're an admin now, tell people what to do, and don't take no for an answer. If they give you issues amx_slap works just fine. If that doesn't work, warn again and then kick. Take a screen shot for your records and for us just in case they complain in the admin abuse forums.

Be nice. Just because you're an admin doesn't make you some how above them in any way except you have the power to punish for broken rules.

The ledges in this map expose positions through walls regardless of where you sit or if you abuse it. If I am in game I advise players to not use this ledge.

I consider using this spot an exploit of this map and it poses an unfair advantage.

EDIT: This part is entirely up to discretion I checked out the corner areas a little further and they do not really give anything up. They are pitch black and black you out of crouching so I would say it is far easier and a better idea to simply not allow use of ledges in this map as imo it still gives unfair advantage.

@Glazed: Thanks for the screen shots of fy_snow_night. I'm sure it will keep most people off of the outer walls.

Thanks for the pics posted GLazed. If someone is breaking rules about it and doesn't understand the rules, I can copy and paste this post and they can see for them selves
