no

you are not seeing through a wall, its not an unfair advantage to your opponent.... nor is it an exploit of the map ... that spot is ok ...

you can see over/through the wall. That is an unfair advantage. I'd slay you for it

1st and 3rd screenshot I would not allow.
2nd screenshot, you can't see over or have an advantage on the enemy, so I would allow being on the box. ;)
Ven: if you want to dl it

Yes, but if the guy is an undead and jumps ... he will be able to exploit, don't you think?

Very true, but I warn at the beginning of the maps
where you can exploit, and I end up not having to worry about them testing me. ;)

personally, to me, if you are on a ledge, you're most likely holding up the game by camping and not completing your objective.
i agree. info like this helps emencily with clarifications and such.

http://yfrog.com/j9deinferno0001yp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Neither of those provide significant (exploitative) advantage over another player. In fact the upper ledge one actually requires the player to crouch, causing them to be immobile if shot. They are both legal in leagues, as well. The 40cal Inferno map has spots humans can teleport on roofs, too. I have seen some admins complain, and I have seen other admins take part in the act.

http://yfrog.com/emdedust20000rlp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can see over the ledge if you jump and choose to abuse it.

http://yfrog.com/j9dedust20001rcp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Similar case.

http://yfrog.com/5bdedust20002sp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Similar case but unable to be abused even if they wanted to.

http://yfrog.com/j9dedust240cal0000p" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://yfrog.com/5cdedust240cal0001p" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Both spots allow you to see over the B wall to see people at the room above cat, but you aren't seeing THROUGH any walls. I would argue you should be able to see over that wall, anyway. That's like saying looking over a fence is wall hacking. And even still you can't really even see over the wall into those windows anyway (I've never even noticed you could until I took that 2nd screenshot)
Are these considered ledging? these are the types of instances, including being on rooftops or any upper part of the maps that I personally consider NOT ledging, So long as you are NOT exploiting and looking over the walls. Although you do have an advantage its not a "incredibly unfair advantage" as stated by belcross. You are still visible. Since everyone knows you have these powers everyone knows a undead or human can access areas most cant. So as this guy asked and noone really replied, are these places ok? Are places like the rooftop of assault_upc thats higher then the rest ok? Is it ok to climb the rocks on nuke? So long as I cant see through walls or cheat? Leaving it up to the admins causes confusion I would like a clear definition if possible, for everyones sake?
(personally I think its much easier to explain as you can go where you please as long as you cant see through walls or become invisible to other players [other then human invis obviously])
Seems like more of a hassle worrying about someone being in a strange spot that seems normal to the map (ie rooftops)

I notice there are replies to other pictures posted on here but none of the other picture links work anymore just this guys.. Just wondering if hes in a ok spot or if any spots like this are ok? What do I tell people? =D

Post Thought: I can understand the spots where you CAN jump to get an advantage being completely off limits but the spots that you cant? Whats wrong with a height advantage? why is that considered incredible?

Also what is a map exploit? is this considered being on a rooftop you normally cant get to? I would just consider this a power in wc3 and a spot that needs to be checked by either team to be sure of safety in wc3 =P. I have seen undead swarm the rooftops of italy_40cal (lots of fun there) and admins taking part. its obviously to descrepancy but if you dont feel like your actually cheating or looking through walls you should feel safe? Im usually like MAN THATS A GOOD SPOT so long as hes not looking over a wall and hes hiding like a pro human up on some ceiling somewhere. Now there is a map you can jump on someones head to get to the rooftop in assault_upc i think. If you get there using this map exploit i would consider this bad.. but if you teleport there or use undead levitation to hide up on the ledge, is that wrong?
