Uh Oh.. Are they pulling a scam on Sammy?
Oh you understood that?, Nahh kid is a matter of product and service. What they are offering is wonderful! If they go higher then they are asking too much.

Sammy is the one that is doing this deal so he knows what is going on. Better hardware = Better performance

Sorry when i read that i thought you meant they were asking for too much and that his Setup now was Fine.. I'm Not to big on Computer Product Hardware... it all sounds like mumbo Jumbo to me.. all i know is you what the highest Number possible... Lol

our current dedibox server is:
intel x3440 @2.53Ghz
8core 32 gigs of ram

we are upgrading to:
1 x Intel SR1625URR 1U Server Chassis
2 x Intel X5645 CPU (2x6-Cores; 12C/24T total)
12 x 4GB ECC REG DDR3 RAM (48GB RAM total)
1 x Intel AXXRMS2LL040 Modular RAID Card
2 x Seagate 1TB SATA3 Hard Drive (deployed as RAID1)
2 x 1GB Intel NIC ports onboard
This gives us a significant bump in CPU (12-cores) and RAM (48GB RAM),
NO MORE LAGG!

down time is mon-tue :(

our current dedicated server is old and did not have HPET boost enabled in the bios upon loading new windows. because of that, I could not boost on24/40cal FPS more than 500
with HTEP enabled we will now have a minimum of 1000fps .
what is HPET - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPET#Notes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

our new dedicated server ready Mon-Tue: :D
upgrade details include: 2 x Intel X5645 CPU (2x6-Cores; 12C/24T total); 12 x 4GB ECC REG DDR3 RAM (48GB RAM total); 1 x Intel AXXRMS2LL040 Modular RAID Card; 2 x Seagate 1TB SATA3 Hard Drive (deployed as RAID1); 2 x 1GB Intel NIC ports onboard. Existing hard drive with existing data will move to new gear; Win 2003 --> 2008; HTEP is integrated into Intel chipset

also:
they are integrating our old HD in the new server. this is good so I can transfer all our 40cal data over and get the servers up running fast.
here it comes everyone. what we all needed for this community....sammy always keeps his promises

just got the email confirmation for down time Wednesday morning:
sammy

to: sammy@40calgames.com
Looks like this is going to hang with Networking and tomorrow morning is looking like the earliest to schedule. Seems the process will take longer than the actual work(?) although I am not hands on technical to be certain. I apologize for setting expectation for a zippy turnaround.
