still unable to spectate =(

I have tried time and time again. I can not spectate in cod server. if i pick spectate it autos me to a team.. if i kill in console no matter how fast I press "M" It never pops up team choser. Its deathmatch so I cant even spectate while dead. Making it very difficult to catch hackers =(.
