I don't know what to do or say about how I'm feeling with my mom's dementia, she is calling everyone by my name & looking for me! I feel like a piece of shit for letting her move with my sister to Nevada. I want to be there for her but at the same time, I don't want to see her fade away. So fucking lost

She is safe and cared for, this is all we as mere mortals can do my friend. My daughter suffered bouts with paranoia and dementia, when you are anxious you just make the anxiety worse for them.
We must accept that our role is to help provide a safe environment, and when you visit, stay positive and hope for a small moment of recognition, and a smile.

Just saw these posts! I'm really sorry to hear that. I can't relate exactly to the dementia but my father's had major medical issues for so long, it's always tough on the whole family... best wishes
